Why We Created The Bellabooty System

The Four Fundamental Muscles

First, you must understand that these four fundamental muscles are typically the muscles that will become deactivated due to inactivity and a sedentary lifestyle.

The largest and most superficial of the three gluteal muscles and makes up a large portion of the shape and appearance of each side of the hips.

Gluteus Maximus

The Gluteus Medius acts as a hip flexor and internal rotator and external rotator (posterior) depending on what portion of the muscle is firing.

Gluteus Medius

Serves as the primary internal rotator of the hip joint. The gluteus minimus helps with abduction and inward rotation of the thigh at the hip.

Gluteus Minimus

Adductors contract and pulls the hip towards the body's midline. This action is a fundamental part of walking, sprinting, and a variety of other bipedal motions.

So, why are these the most fundamental muscles in your body?

Making up the largest muscle in the body, these four muscles serve as the foundation of your lower body and determine how all of your other muscles perform, making them fundamental to how your body looks and feels.

What are the consequences of letting these muscles become deactivated?

There are many consequences to letting your muscles fall asleep. The three main ones people typically experience are loss of muscle definition, loss of strength and structure, and pain in lower back and legs.

Our jobs have changed drastically in the last 100 years. People are now sitting for 8+ hours a day at their jobs or at home, causing their muscles to fall into a deep sleep.

Sleeping Reason #2

Active people don’t have good form and technique. Meaning they are not engaging their fundamental muscles and are instead allowing other muscles to pick up the slack.

The Awakening

Now, to wake your sleeping muscles, you must do something called an activation movement…

Activation Movements are isolated and focused movements that are effective due to their ability to reach deeply inside the sleeping, inactive muscles and begin to reactivate and reawaken them.

However…

Activation movements are difficult because they require perfect form in order to be effective. And when your fundamental muscles are asleep, acheiving perfect form requires great knowledge and skill.

While activation movements seem simple. achieving perfect enough form during a squat to target sleeping muscles is very difficult.

Pivot Resistance Technology

Needing to make Activation Movements simpler and more effective, we created our own patented Pivot Resistance Technology. Allowing people to wake up their sleeping bootys with simple, easy to learn movements.

Why a pivot motion?

The pivot motion was added for two reasons.
One, this motion allowed for the targeting of the activation movements to become much more precise, forcing the sleeping muscles to exert energy and become reactivated.

Two, this motion also allowed us to add resistance. Meaning that we could then build muscles much more effectively than a normal workout.

Why resistance?

By adding resistance to our pivoting motion, we are able to increase the overall effectiveness of each movement. Without it, the movements require less energy and allow your sleeping muscles to remain dormant and deactivated.

By targeting the energy, we are able to force your muscles to awaken and produce better results for both your booty and thighs.
